Soviet Military Topographic Map Sets?

I get the impression that the Web sites where Soviet Military Topographic Map Sets are collected, slowly disappear from the web. I wonder, if OSGeo.org could give these really nice maps a new home. I found some remaining material on the web:

mapstor.com sells those maps at a low price on about 11 dvds with georeference. poehali.org announces the same data for free download one map at a time.

OverlandResource.com has collected the complete set of Soviet Military South America maps and is offering them for pretty cheap download. It looks like they got them from poehali.org, and they are georeferenced. I wonder about the copyright issue?
